Joey Bosa did some serious trash talking after the Chargers 28-14 win over the Raiders in October, especially toward Derek Carr.
Carr acknowledged that he didn’t appreciate Bosa’s comments and on Sunday one of them is going to get the last laugh.
This week’s early playoff game will come down to a lot more than one individual matchup, but there’s no question that Bosa’s ability to pressure Carr (or lack thereof) will have a huge impact on the game. How the Raiders defend Bosa on Sunday is going to be a significant storyline.
Former Raiders’ offensive lineman Lincoln Kennedy addressed the Bosa matchup on Thursday and he wants to see the Raiders focus on Bosa similar to the way they did Khalil Mack in London two years ago – by giving extra attention to him on every play.
“Joey Bosa is a threat. He’s a good player. But the way that you negate a good player is you make life hard on him,” Kennedy said Thursday on 920 AM Raider Nation Radio’s In The Huddle.
“You double team him when you have the opportunity. You cut him when you have the opportunity. You make sure there is someone who is fixated on getting him on the ground every single play. Take him out of the game. You direct your attention to that. That’s what you do against good defensive players. You go after them. You don’t ignore them… I wash the Raiders would have done more of that when they played him [the first time].”
It will be interesting to see how the Raiders approach Bosa this week, but in situations where he lines up across from Brandon Parker or Alex Leatherwood, there will need to be help coming from somewhere. Leaving either of them on an island against Bosa will be a fireable offense.

I wash the Raiders too with Clorox after a sh*try game!!! 😂😂😂‼️
Why do you wossy 40whiners fans troll on here , go down to Santa Clara with your fancy cheese and wine and stop annoying FOOTBALL fans on here
I don’t think we have anybody big enough to put him on the ground…..
Thank you L.Kennedy I am glad that you told it like it is.
I’m all for taking Bozo the clown out by putting him on the ground such as the distinguished Lincoln Kennedy has suggested, though my version would be old Raiders school sending a message to not only the dolts but the league that we aren’t taking no **** from anyone any longer and by putting him on the ground that would require surgery after some much deserved “giving him the business down there” we send that much needed message loud and clear, FEAR THE RAIDERS AGAIN❗
Yes , we need to go back to the Jack Tatum/ George Aktison style !
💯‼️😎 The Assassin and The Hitman ‼️👍☝🤟😎😎
Yea do that and lose your QB 15yd penalty or not. Good luck with that sparky
Think about this… Carr said he won’t play for any other team. What if Carr became head coach of the raiders if they decide to go with someone else at qb?
I completely agree. The NFL has cheated us (Raiders fans) consistently. Mr. Bosa utilizes the techniques originally attributed to the Raiders, way back (before most of you trolls were even born) when they used to say we were “cheating” by using them (not in the rule book). Mr. Carr said something similar to the Refs (reputedly); “Start calling them or we’ll be hitting someone.” Take the 15 yards and bust Mr. Bosa up. Why not? The Zebras are on the “other” team every time we play. When I hear a “holding” call on the “other” team, I just figure the Zebra didn’t get the memo. If the NFL cheats, fight back. We go into every game handicapped by them; why are they afraid to let us play?
💯 we gotem tonight ‼️😎👍☝
You mean cheat?! Typical raiders, you’re right old raiders school. If you can’t beat them at football, rough him up on the ground…. Wow…. Good luck tomorrow!
Take out Nosa

It’s Bosa! Are you new to football?!?!
Let Madd Max on offense he has the motor to go both sides all day
WHY do they continue to start Parker at RT??? His play is simply inept. I just don’t see why we couldn’t get a FA with more talent than this guy. He get put on the ground, and driven into the QB, regularly.
