The Raiders are expected to make a trade or two ahead of the November 4 trade deadline and most of the trade speculation in the last two weeks has involved Maxx Crosby and Jakobi Meyers.
Most believe Meyers will ultimately be traded, and it seems like Crosby and the Raiders have reached an understanding that he isn’t going anywhere.
A few other players have been tossed around as potential trade candidates, but a new name to watch might be veteran cornerback Eric Stokes.
Raider Nation Radio host Q Myers talked this week about Stokes, and he believes a potential playoff team might be interested in Stokes. From the Raiders’ standpoint, it might make sense to trade Stokes because his contract is expiring after the season.
“I do think that there’s a chance that we’ll see Darien Porter [get more playing time], because Kyu Blu Kelly has struggled. Eric Stokes has actually been quietly having a good season. Matter of fact, I’ve seen his name with some other teams out there saying, ‘Hey, you know what? That Eric Stokes is pretty good. Maybe we can call the Raiders and try to pick him up. Remember, he’s on a one-year deal,” Myers said on the Locked on Raiders Squad Show podcast.
“So don’t be surprised, I know that name hasn’t really been talked about quite a bit, but he’s having a good season. I would not be surprised if a team calls and says, ‘What would it take to get Eric Stokes out of there? I’m not saying that they’d make a move, but I do think we’ll see Darien Porter sooner rather than later. They’re really high on him in training camp.”
Lincoln Kennedy added to Myers comments, and thinks the Raiders are going to make a push for Tariq Woolen, who has fallen out of favor in Seattle, and is in the final year of his deal with the Seahawks.
“I think the Raiders are going to probably make a move for Tariq Woolen, the Seattle Seahawks defensive back,” Kennedy said. “Mainly because Pete Carroll likes that size, and he’s still experimenting with this defensive secondary. Especially with the type of defense that Patrick Graham wants to play. So I can see them making a move probably for him.”

I mean, there appears to be pretty good reason Woolen has fallen out favor in Seattle. He’s never replicated his rookie season, and has been outright bad this year. Meanwhile the 2025 Seahawks have a good defense, and the 2025 Raiders don’t, so maybe the Raiders should be taking more queues from the 2025 Seahawks in 2025 than the 2022 Seahawks.
Pete Carroll needs to stay away from Former Seahawk players he coach back in the day, they’re getting old like him, find somebody Young that you can build on stop trading away valuable pics & players like linebacker Spillane letting him walk instead of signing him to a contract, like you gave a third rounder and cash for Gino and a fifth round for Pickett that got to play last two minutes in a ball game that we lost. STOP IT MD,TB
After the bye week do the evaluations and trade talks are coming out, the million dollar question is will we see Kenny Pickett for AOC seeing how you didn’t trust the backup quarterback that you gave away a draft choice
