It’s been a dramatic two weeks for the Raiders.
The team has taken criticism from a lot of different directions, beginning with the loss to Carolina that carried over into a week of Davante Adams drama.
Some have suggested head coach Antonio Pierce deserves blame for the recent headlines around the Raiders, and that will be a fair criticism if the season goes off the rails in the next few weeks.
From the outside, it might look like the Raiders have a locker room on the brink, but the last two weeks might have actually served to galvanize the team.
It’s not ideal to lose one of the best wide receivers in the league, but there’s a lot more to Adams’ story that hasn’t been told. The team will miss him, but it’s no coincidence that he wasn’t named a captain prior to the season.
Raiders Radio host ‘JT the Brick’ made a comment this week that deserves more attention than it has received. The locker room might be understanding of Adams and his business decisions, but his departure isn’t going to rock the team, and you can read into these comments even beyond that…
“The team will be ready for Denver,” JT said on his Raider Nation Radio show on Thursday. “That’s the company line. I love that from the coach.”
“Talking today to other people in the organization, this team is laser focused to go [to Denver], and there’s a couple guys I won’t mention in the locker room, who are really agitated by all this stuff and want to win even more. They want to win every game, but they want to win more now.”
Just a guess, but it sounds like the Raider locker room might have come together this week while the Adams saga played out in the headlines.
The team has a message they want to send to the on Sunday, and that message might not be aimed at just the Broncos.

WHATS IN THE DARK WILL COME TO THE LIGHT. THEY ALSO SAY THAT ” THE GRASS IS NOT GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE ”
!!!
Raiders =💩💩💩
It’s like, “OK, You don’t want us….Get on with your bad self….Now let’s make him regret that decision.”
If the raiders lay another egg here its over
Proof is in the pudding. It’s a team sport so leadership and what happens on the field will show if it’s sweet our a wish sandwich
Those two critical drops that would’ve moved the chains that hit Adams in the hands didn’t go unnoticed by his teammates. And pulling a hammy before the browns game was enough for AP to make a strong statement. He did. Now we’ll see if the team can build off the last game.
Adams might not have been a captain, but he isn’t a diva by any stretch. Is Diggs best friends with Kirk Cousins and goes on vacations with Josh Allen? That’s a diva, not Adams. AP with his ridiculous ‘business decisions’ comment and then liking a post about Adams playing his last down for the Raiders, now that’s an effing diva. The one player people found on tape making business decisions in the Carolina game was his boy Jack Jones. Not Adams. AP is over his skis.
Give your WR1 a pass for dropping 2 that were on his numbers and went through his hands that would’ve moved the chains? AND the tantrum he threw on the sideline when he whined about a ball that got him hit? Which he also dropped. Diva or baby?
You are over your skis.
Bye bye Adam’s nothing but a diva and maybe another team for him isn’t that what counts dog eat dog get him out asap
Hahahahaha the raiders are “laser focused”?? 🤣 the raiders and Pierce are pathetic. Pierce deserves all the blame for this. He is a joke as a head coach.
Doesn’t matter what empty’s think. All that matters is what 53 dudes on Sunday think
I hope they just keep winning without Adams. He basically quit on the Raiders organization. What an awesome mentor to his kids and others around the world. Basically telling people that it’s ok to be a quitter and not fulfill what you signed up for. Just bevause you are rich you dont have to be obligated to anyone. SELFISH, GREED, ARROGANCE. Non Christ-lete!!! It’s not how I raise my kids.
RRRRRRAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIDDEEEERRRSSSS!!!!
Buddy, I have some news for you about how NFL contracts work and what teams think of fulfilling THEIR end of deals.
Send Adams to the Jets; as that’s where he wants to go. Get Reddick in return and have the Jets pay Adams full contract! Simple. Reddick will do more for the Raiders than Adams.
I’ve been a Raiders fan all of my adult life…at 69yrs old…I’ve seen the BEST & the WORST and we’ve played the BEST & the WORST!! I’m not a QUITTER!
If you commit to a team, you got to take the good with the bad. Ease up on Pierce…if we could clone Madden forever, I’d be the first one to start up a GO FUND ME ASAP!!
HAHA…not happening! Let’s play out the season and see what happens?
#justwinbaby
My two favorite teams are the Raiders and any team that plays Adam’s new team.
Who the hell knows, even the Raiders don’t know how to win. Why ain’t they calling up Andy Read and asking him how it’s done?
Welp, so much for laser focused. There’s only so many times a team can need to be galvanized, motivated by disrespect and distractions, wanting to shut people up before you have to start accepting that a lot of the outside noise might be true, and the organization just sucks.
As for JT the Brick, the man has spent 20+ years carrying water for the Davis family. He tries to talk like he’s some truth teller, but he’s always been a stooge for ownership. He can get out of town, too.
The Raiders need to step their game up and stop all the drama from the inside and outside. Get rid of Adam’s and move on. You can’t win with selfish players. Either you’re in it to win it, win lose or draw. New State,Stadium, young players etc… stop the madness and play football…..
You still feel like they are laser focused
