The Raiders are a team in the market for a new receiver and it sounds like Browns’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. might soon be in the market for a new team.
It’s been no secret that Beckham and the Browns have been at odds for a while, but a report on Wednesday indicated that the Browns’ coaching staff is moving forward like Beckham is “essentially not on the team.”
Beckham’s salary cap hit is more than $15.7 million this year, but if the Browns release him he would be free to sign a new deal wherever he wants (assuming no one claims his massive contract).
Essentially, Beckham seems to be taking a page out of Antonio Brown’s playbook and causing as much of a rift in Cleveland as he can until the team has no choice but to move on from him.
The Browns are said to be discussing all options with Beckham, who turns 29 this week.
Maybe the Raiders would be willing to sign up for a personality like Beckham, but it would also make sense if they are not interested in him. After all that has transpired in the past two days (and even the last few weeks), it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see the Raiders give some pause before signing up for a different kind of drama… although just about any type of drama would be better received than what transpired this week.

Slow the roll on this! OBJ isn’t going anywhere!
Whoops. Browns are releasing him.
Wasnt the AB debacle enough? Ill bet for Mayock it was. I dont think Mayock was on board with Ruggs either. Lamb or Jeudy were better picks going into the draft.
Ruggs IS a good reciever,he is young and made a critical decision thats unfortunately going to affect the rest of his life and career
U right about that he just has to face the consequences an move forward he knows what happened was wrong on his part he has to live with it the rest of his life , hope others can learn from his mistake, peace to everyone.
Not another premadona? Don’t ruin any chemistry this unit has left! Go with Zay Jones and pick up Desean Jackson.
!
Hey Nation, gals, guys!! No No No!! Let’s not get Beckham Jr. We already have had two bad moves with AB and the other receiver from Pittsburgh. No more drama!! We have a couple of receivers on the practice squad we can promote. I do want to say that I love Henry Ruggs and pray for him in his young life to overcome and have a chance to redeem himself. He made a horrible choice and I also pray for the family of the young lady who lost her life because of his very horrible choice but let’s not throw him away. I believe that he is a good human being who like all of us made a bad decision. Most of us get away with it but some don’t. He, like Gruden deserves a chance at redemption and a path forward in his life. He will pay the consequences of his choice but we need to have compassion for him as a human being. Get a receiver in the draft and sign Desean Jackson if we really need someone.
Nope , move forward Raiders and keep the course of improving this team not downgrading with a player thats all drama!
Way too funny you’re saying no to a diva (a guy who would be the #1 WR) while you campaign for a 34 year old WR (who would be the #4) , who has been known to flash gang signs and wanted to get traded from a 7-1 team because he wasn’t getting enough targets.
Off subject! My prayers are with the woman that died (and her dog!) NFL can go on the burner for a minute we lost a person and we have a young man!! Who made the choice at the wrong time ! Thanks fans!!! I still believe a action does not dictate a person’s life
Release #OBJ #Raiders! So sorry to the women who lost her life as well her dog , much Love to Ruggs
Bleep Ruggs he cost a woman her life at 23 years old and her dog
I’m hoping that I know my team as well as I think I do (my blood turned silver and black 42 years ago!), and I’m pretty sure we have learned our lesson about players who think they are bigger than the entire league! We have a great chemistry right now, a ‘winning chemistry’; let’s keep what we’ve built, what millions of dollars can’t buy! Vote NO on Odell Beckham Jr! RAIDER4LIFE! Love you, Nation!
Yeah hell yeah get OBJ!!
We have had enough drama this year. OBJ is NOT worth the distraction. Too many other great wide receivers that will play their hearts out. Better off without him! The Raiders chemistry is working, please don’t mess with it. We all should vote no on OBJ!!
Yes, a potential cancerous distraction. Just what the team needs!
