Raiders Reported To Have Interest In Dion Lewis

While the Raiders are apparently mulling what to do with Marshawn Lynch, they are reportedly considering free agent options as well.

According to Profootballtalk.com, the Raiders are one of many teams considering Patriots running back, Dion Lewis, who is not expected to re-sign with New England.

Lewis, 27, would give Derek Carr a more versatile option out of the backfield, but doesn’t offer anything close to the punishing running style of Lynch.

Lewis is more polished than Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington, but offers a relatively similar skill set to both young running backs.

Beyond Lewis, the Raiders will also have a host of options in the draft. Ryan Lopes wrote about those options earlier in the week.

  1. If they did pick up Lewis I believe Richard might have to leave, Gruden probably didn’t like seeing the huge amount of fumbles by him, Washington is up in the air IF we get Lewis to come over to the dark side, but maybe Gruden can correct these fumbles by Richard, he’s probably just alittle more valuable then Washington,
