It isn’t necessarily news at this point, but reports continue to indicate Aldon Smith will not be returning to the Raiders any time soon.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, appearing on 95.7 The Game, people close to Smith are saying “it’s just about a lost cause” at this point. “I haven’t heard anything good about Smith in months,” Cole said of the former All Pro linebacker. “He’ll have a good week, he’ll have a bad week. He’ll talk about going to rehab… it’s a very very sad situation.”
Smith turns 28 this month and in November it will have been two years since he last played a down in the NFL.
