Report: “Frustration Building” Between Raiders and Trent Brown

According to NFL insider Vincent Bonsignore, there is a little something brewing between the Raiders and their $21.5 million right tackle.

Trent Brown has barely practiced with the team this year and on Sunday he only played three snaps. The Raiders are apparently of the mindset that Brown isn’t committed to getting back on the field.

“If you saw Jon Gruden’s Monday news conference, and specifically his answer about his concern with Brown after he lasted just three plays Sunday, there is frustration building,” Bonsignore reported in the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Tuesday.

“It’s safe to say there is concern about whether Brown, who has a calf injury, is doing everything he can to be available for all four quarters, whether it’s being diligent with the injury management program or fighting through whatever he is dealing with on game day.”

For what it’s worth, this isn’t the first report that the Raiders are unhappy with Brown, who is going to make $21.5 million this year regardless of how the rehab on his injured calf plays out.

The good news for the Raiders, though, is that their offensive line held up just fine without Brown against the Panthers.

But would (or will) they be able to do the same against a defense like the one that’s coming on Monday night?

  1. To hell with brown, why don’t they get Vontaze Burfict back now that Kwiatkowski went down with a peck injury that though torn, will still be time consuming to get back from and the way the defense played against Carolina I’m not feeling that confident and we can use all the help o D we can get!!!

  2. If it continues it’s time to cut ties. he doesn’t seem invested to be a Raider. It’s like he is on cruise control. Not the type of attitude or players we need!

  3. Another Fat Bastard, Who is not Dedicated to his Livelyhood, Get Rid of the Lottery ticket Winner, Can I say another Version of ” Albert Haynesworth” in the Return of the”BLOB” 😂🏈😂🏈😂🏈

  4. Cut that big soft *** fuckboy he don’t wanna play no football at least not for the Raiders so trade his *** ASAP bitch ***

  5. From photo’s that I’ve recently seen and the video coverage of this man entering the Allegiant Stadium a few weeks ago with his teammates had me wondering if he really wants to be a Raider! He doesn’t look like a humbled proud individual who is making a guaranteed 36.75 million dollars to start at right tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders for another 3yrs! Maybe just maybe he’s related to another Brown who had fun leaving the team hanging out to dry!

  6. I hope Brown is getting his calf rehab. And gets back to the team we love to have all our guys ready willing and able to compete on all downs. I’ve been a RAIDER starting 1970. And will be till the sun burns out. GO LVRN RN4L.

  7. I think we need all available team members ready and willing to go all out. We are the RAIDERS come on Brown we need you and your talents on field. He’ll I’ve been a Part of the RAIDERS Since 1970. GO #RAider#LVRN#RN4L

  8. Raiders defensive Line needs to play better ! & Little more blitzing With brees Tighter coverage ! & Fake it to Jacobe & Throw to him ? He more Dangerous when he catches the ball on the Run ! & Gruden, or Offencesic cordinater ! Needs to Mix passing Game Correctly ! Go to Jacob , tight End, & Recievers ! Mix The plays up more ! Make Sure Everyone Contributes & Has there part in Touching The football ? Keep there defence always guessing ! Not just Handing off Foot ball to Halfbacks ? Alot of Fakes hand offs & Play action Plays ! Not just to Your halfbacks but Recievers & tightends ? Enrique Rodriguez. Go Raiders ! Beat Them Saints !

  9. Get rid of him if he’s not willing to effort to play all four quarters.being lazy not for the NFL.

  10. Trent Brown is punking out on the Raiders! Watch the video of the teams lined up on the sidelines with their arms locked in unity before kick off… Trent Brown chose to stand behind the team by himself.
Then watch the locker Room video after the game when the team pulls together and put their hands in to the center… Trent Brown is standing as far away from his teammates as he can with his back against the lockers.
He’s not hurt… he’s quitting on the team that chose to make him the highest paid tackle on the NFL… He will make more than 90% of the starting QBs this year… and he is quitting on them!
    What a f#<<%!#& punk!

  12. Trent Brown makes too much money to be not playing because of a calf injury.Team should trade or cut him.

  13. It would make a lot of sense to actually know the extent of this man’s injuries before making uninformed comments like those above. Further, next year, Trent Brown’s salary cap number goes down to 11 million so don’t expect the Raiders to cut him. Lastly, I’ll bet a dollar to a doughnut that all of the guys above, who made comments, also were advocates of the Raiders cutting or trading Gabe Jackson. I wonder what they think of that move by the Raiders to keep him now.

    1. Trent just soft as **** player play hurt all the time some with serious injury and should not be playing at all just face it some these players want **** for free if this fuckboy haven’t even been in camp long enough to have a injury I say trade his *** he don’t wanna be there then get the **** on we need players who wanna play for the Raiders
