Not long ago JuJu Smith-Schuster told fans in a chat room that the Raiders are a real possibility for him in free agency.
It sounds like he might have been telling the truth.
According to national insider John Clayton, the Raiders are “going to be moving on” JuJu Smith-Schuster if he becomes available, and it seems clear that the Steelers intend to let him hit free agency.
If Smith-Schuster does join the Raiders, he would be the second (former) Steelers wide receiver to sign a hefty contract with the Silver & Black. Ironically, Antonio Brown (the former Steeler turned Raider) and Smith-Schuster haven’t been on good terms since Brown left the Steelers. Two years ago Brown made a strange attempt to shame Smith-Schuster with a screen shot of an old message from the then-USC wide receiver asking Brown for professional advice.
To which Smith-Schuster responded with the following message…
So if there is one thing the Raiders and Smith-Schuster can definitely agree on over the next four weeks, it’s that Brown is a certifiable clown. To his credit, though, Brown does have a Super Bowl ring… that he will decide to sell within the next 10 years.
You heard it here first.
