In the wake of losing Henry Ruggs, the Raiders are considered by many to be the top landing spot for either Odell Beckham Jr. or DeSean Jackson.
Beckham won’t know if he clears waivers until Monday. Jackson has already hit free agency and is available now.
But which wide receiver would the Raiders prefer?
Apparently… both.
“According to multiple industry sources, the release of Ruggs has the Raiders interested in both Jackson and Beckham,” Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on Saturday.
“The patience they have shown not rushing into an agreement with Jackson suggests the Raiders want to weigh all options… the Raiders might choose to wait for the Odell Beckham situation to clear up before making a decision on what direction to take.”
Bonsignore’s information seems to be a little at odds with what NFL insider Mike Silver and The Athletic’s Vic Tafur have been reporting. Both have downplayed the Raiders’ interest in Beckham.
