Are the Raiders going to trade Davante Adams before the NFL’s November 5 trade deadline?
Within the next 37 days, we’ll have an answer to that question.
The odds might be starting to lean in the direction of a trade, though, and the asking price isn’t going to be cheap. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders turned down trade offers a few months ago without even listening to the terms.
“The Raiders rejected multiple teams that approached them over the summer, inquiring whether Adams would be available in a trade, according to league sources,” Schefter reported on Saturday. “The Raiders considered an Adams trade a non-starter and turned away at least two teams before an offer could even be made, according to sources.”
Believe what you want, but Schefter’s information on the rebuffed trade offers for Adams could very well have been a message from the Raiders to anyone interested…
It’s going to take a significant trade offer to get him.
In the shorter term, it sounds like the Raiders might not be getting Adams back from a hamstring injury anytime soon.
“The Raiders didn’t try to pretend that Adams could play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, ruling him out Friday in a sign that this could turn into a multi-week absence,” Schefter said.
Losing Adams until the middle of October would be difficult loss for the Raiders. He is still one of the best receivers in the league and Luke Getsy’s offense has enough challenges when Adams is in the lineup.
To this point in the season, it feels like anything that can go wrong for the Raiders, has gone wrong.
But before Antonio Pierce and company will be tasked with figuring out the future of their star wide receiver, they need to find a way to beat the Browns without the services of Adams, Maxx Crosby and Malcolm Koonce.
In the famous words of legendary broadcaster Al Michaels…
Do you believe in miracles?

Adams and Crosby faking their injuries just to leave minshew out to get killed and take all the blame is absurd. These guys are total trash humans.
Honestly I’m a Raider fan from the bay will always be a Raider but Adam’s needs to make a business decision for himself he is just waisting his time and talent here we are not close to being competitive we have a rookie head coach the worst OC in the league and a below average Gm QB room is the worst I’ve ever seen and of o line is a mess oh and or RB room is the worst too so get what you can for Adam’s now is the best business decision for him and our team
They should trade him. He didn’t come off as someone who will be a locker room problem watching his frustration in Netflix Receiver. However the Raiders right now are not a team capable of taking advantage of his talents. They know it and he knows it. So get some compensation to truly build a competitive roster. I think the AP is a good coach, but he needs players right now it’s Adams and Crosby as far as talents. They should probably trade him too.
