It’s that time of year again where NFL analysts make their season predictions.
NFL Network released its yearly survey of analysts (34 total) on Wednesday and not surprisingly, the popular picks were the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes to win league MVP, and Bruce Arians (thanks to Tom Brady) to win Coach of the Year.
Thankfully, the panel did have one reasonable and unbiased voter who forecast the greatness in store for the Raiders this year.
Alas, it was David Carr who predicted the Raiders would win the AFC West, Derek Carr would win the league MVP, and Jon would win Coach of the Year.
A clean sweep.
In case you aren’t aware, sports betting outlets are begging for you to take Carr’s advice. Look at the average odds on each of the above listed prop bets:
Raiders win AFC West (+1000)
Gruden win COY (+4000)
Carr win MVP (+8000)
That means a $10 bet on each would win $100 (Raiders AFC West), $400 (Gruden COY), and $8,000 (Carr MVP).
So what are you waiting for?
