Former Raiders HC Antonio Pierce Spotted in Red and Yellow at Rival Training Camp

Since being fired by the Raiders, former head coach Antonio Pierce has mostly stayed out of the public eye, but on Wednesday a video surfaced of Pierce at training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pierce was filmed by FOX 4 Kansas City’s Harold Kuntz, and the former Vegas fan favorite, who became known for his “Raaaaaiiiidderrrrrs!” chants, was clad in full Chiefs gear.

Pierce no longer has ties to the Raiders and it’s worth noting that Jon Gruden has also been a guest at Chiefs’ practices – which makes you wonder if head coach Andy Reid is intentional in his efforts to publicly welcome former rival coaches to his practices.

It’s been a long time since a Raiders’ head coach played the Chiefs as well as Pierce did in his short tenure with the team, so it makes sense that Reid and company would want to pick his brain for information.

We learned in June that Pierce was receiving as much as 583,000 per month from the Raiders prior to being fired, and it has been rumored that he might take some time before returning to the coaching ranks.

As of now, Pierce isn’t listed on any college or NFL coaching staffs, but he did announce a new position two weeks ago with an upstart company called ‘Athletes in Action.’

Not a lot is known about Athletes in Control, but based online their mission statement, it sounds like they offer some type of consultative service to amateur and professional athletes.

From their website…

“AIC was founded by a team of athletes, coaches, and business professionals who saw too many talented players overwhelmed by high-stakes decisions. We help athletes take full control of their futures—with insight, access and structure.”

Also a partner with Athletes in Control is Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, who played for Pierce at Arizona State.

Daniels’ official title with the organization is a ‘Brand Ambassador’ and he was welcomed to the group on the same day Pierce was announced.

  1. What’s with these past Raiders coaches found at Chiefs practices. WTF they are traitors and back stabbed.

  2. AP may as well take plenty of time off because he’ll probably never get another opportunity to be a high level coach again. If the Chiefs wanted to know why the Raiders played the Chiefs as competitively as they have the past couple of years, they should talk to Patrick Graham, but he’s still a Raider. So, of course, I think Reid is having a bit of fun with that one.

That said, even though his return as Raiders coach didn’t work out, Gruden has longtime ties with Reid and still showed some offensive coaching chops with the Raiders. It was basically every other thing he did that kept the Raiders from winning more in his second tenure with the team. T

  3. The move to Lost Vegas, just buisness! AP doing what he must, finding work for these very small companies that are these NFL teams, just business baby!

The Chiefs don’t bother man, they are obsessed with us because of that biannual beat down and autumn wind of whip a$$ we put on ’em.

“The Autumn wind is RAIDER pillaging just for fun, he’ll knock you round and upside down and laugh when he’s concurred and won!”

Raider love AP, once a Raider always Hometown, RAIDER ON!
