After the infamous trade falling through with the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday, is Maxx Crosby back with the Raiders for good?
Several reports have suggested the Raiders are still listening to offers for Crosby, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter thinks it could be a while before trade talks become serious again.
“I think they have wanted [Crosby] all along,” Schefter said of the Raiders on Wednesday. “They were apprehensive about dealing him and they were only going to deal him if they got their price. Is another team going to continue to meet their price or are they better off holding on to [Crosby]?”
“I think everybody is kind of recalibrating and adjusting now that the trade is off, which nobody was expecting to happen, and I just think that Maxx Crosby absolutely still could be traded later on, but I think there’s a scenario under which he does wind up playing for Las Vegas.”
On Wednesday evening, Crosby posted a message on X that sounded a lot like an announcement that he isn’t interested in being traded again.
If nothing else, it was the kind of message Raider fans were wanting to hear from Crosby since trade rumors started gaining traction in January.
Since the trade (that never happened) with Baltimore was announced, a few details emerged that had not been made public before this week.
Crosby reportedly had issues with Tom Brady and wellness coordinator Alex Guerrero, and Sports Illustrated inside Albert Breer said Crosby “quietly” requested a trade after the season.
If those reports were accurate, it’s fair to wonder if Crosby’s concerns with the organization were addressed in the short time since the trade fell apart with the Ravens.
In theory, if the Raiders wanted to keep Crosby all along and now Crosby is suggesting that he’s happy to be back… the door ought to be shut on a trade happening before the start of the 2026 season.
We’ll see if it ends up being that simple, but for now the perception is that all is well between Crosby and the Raiders and that message should keep interested teams from believing they can get Crosby at a discount price.

Answer is obvious: get rid of Guerrero, no access to locker room, shower Maxx with gifts and gratitude.
Exactly give Brady’s job to Carr
yes. 100%
It’s playing your cards close to your chest. It’s exactly the right thing to do. Everybody is happy here, Maxx is back in the building doing his rehab. We got Maxx and you don’t. When he’s back on the field doing Maxx things, those in need will come calling again. Our price is two first round draft picks! It is going to be the next NFL Draft, and that’s okay, we are doing the long build we will have needs next year, too, but I don’t think 98 will want to go.
Another note; Nobody is buying Baltimore’s BS that they were trying to pair Hendrickson with Maxx. No team would tie up 58 million dollars on two DE’s, when they can’t even get their QB signed to a long term deal. They are racing to beat the deadline to sign the guy their whole offense is built around? Because his phone wasn’t working right? They fired a head coach to change direction and hired one of his proteges? That organization is messed up.
