Raiders Reportedly “Very Interested” in Mike Evans

The Raiders will be in the market for a wide receiver in the offseason, and they are being linked to one of Tom Brady’s former targets in Tampa Bay.

According to league insider Tony Pauline, who has a solid history reporting on the Raiders, Brady and company are monitoring the 32-year-old wide receiver as they move toward free agency.

“I’m told there’s a real possibility he returns to play with the Buccaneers in 2026,” Pauline reported on Thursday. “While the Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders are very interested if the right deal is struck.  The New England Patriots have not shown much interest in Evans.”

Not only does Brady have familiarity with Evans, but GM John Spytek has a relationship with him from Tampa Bay, as well. Evans doesn’t have youth on his side, but the Raiders need a veteran presence in the wide receiver room with Jakobi Meyers no longer in the picture.

In other free agency news, the Bears released Tremaine Edmunds on Thursday and there’s a good chance Edmunds is going to be on the Raiders’ radar.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler this week, the Raiders are one of at least three teams known to be interested in the veteran linebacker.

Prior to being released, Fowler named Raiders and two other teams to watch for Edmunds.

“One player who has strong trade value and a decent chance to be dealt is Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmunds,” Fowler reported on Sunday. “The Titans, Raiders and Giants are among teams interested in high-end linebackers, and they like Edmunds, who’s only 27 despite eight years in the league. He was granted permission to seek a trade earlier this week.”
