Maxx Crosby is no stranger to league discipline. He was fined four times in his rookie year for a variety of roughing the passer and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
Last year, Crosby avoided any fines, but this year he is back in the game.
In week 2, Crosby was fined for allegedly spitting on a player in Pittsburgh (although there is no video evidence that the action occurred) and this week Crosby was fined $5,809 for handing the football to a Bengals’ lineman after a play.
There was no flagged thrown on the play (below), but the league reviewed the incident and determined that Crosby’s actions were worthy of a fine.
Crosby’s career fine total is now up to $107,534 and he doesn’t figure to win an appeal for his most recent incident.
Fortunately for Crosby’s bank account, he is on course for a huge payday in the not-too-distant future. He becomes a free agent after the 2022 season and the Raiders figure to take a more aggressive approach to re-signing Crosby than they did with Khalil Mack four years ago.
Or at least they better.

I have made a special attempt to pay attention to Maxx Crosby every time the Raiders are on television. After close
observation, in the limited time I have seen him on T.V. he appears to all out almost 100% percent of the time when
it matters. He is another (Howie Long) in my estimation. He and the other end who came from the Ravens are
getting better. And the DT’s, the younger guys look hungry. They are going to be a good defense in the near future.
The NFL is becoming pretty sissy like these days! There is no fun in competition if guys get fined for stuff like this! What’s next?? The losing team at the Super Bowl going to get Rings now?
