Maxx Crosby Had Strong Words for Media “Clown” Michael Lombardi

Michael Lombardi has a long and complicated history with the Raiders, and when his children aren’t employed by the team, he doesn’t miss many opportunities to take shots at the organization.

Last week, Lombardi addressed the Davante Adams situation on the Pat McAfee Show and found an opportunity to throw a stray at Maxx Crosby.

“Maxx Crosby didn’t go to the game on Sunday with a hamstring,” Lombardi said to McAfee on Thursday. “That, to me, bothers me. That tells me there’s something going on in that locker room.”

Not only did Crosby not have a hamstring injury, but it was recommended to him by the team to rehab his ankle from home during the week 4 game against the Browns.

Crosby responded to Lombardi’s comments after Sunday’s loss to the Broncos.

“I got to hear these clowns talking online and talking on the Pat McAfee Show saying something’s going on and they’re speaking for me when I’m on the sideline and I’ve got a high ankle sprain,” Crosby said in clear reference to Lombardi.

“These clowns are sitting on the couch and talking about what I should be doing, but the reality is I’m gaining yardage and trying to get right so I can get back on the field,” Crosby continued. “Everybody knows my intentions and they try to speak for me when sh–, if you speak to me and know what’s going on, then we’ll have a conversation, but don’t speak on my name when you don’t know what the hell is going on. These guys know I would take a bullet for them, everyone in this locker room.”

“You’re a GM for one year,” Crosby added on Lombardi. “It’s embarrassing. Don’t speak for me… I get bothered by that because I take a lot of heat, and I could do it. I’ve been through that, but don’t speak about me when you don’t know what’s going on and you’re speaking for me. you know what I mean? You know where I want to be. You think I want to be anywhere else? No. I got this sh– tatted on my body. I don’t want to go anywhere.”

If nothing else, it was good to hear Crosby say he wants to be a Raider.

After the week that’s been, it’s nice to hear a superstar say he’s committed to be being a part of the solution in Las Vegas.

  1. I think it’s time to sit Minshew. Bring in McConnell for the next couple games. Really going to draft a quarterback if McConnell doesn’t work out. Six interceptions in five games.

  2. I am so Happy to Hear Crosby say Exactly what I have been saying in this forum for Years a even Yesterday or the Day B4 (check it Out) Mike “the Clown” Lombardi is a Fraud!!! Al Davis Kept him around so that the Staff would have someone To Make Fun Of… He is a Know Nothing. His Opinions are Worthless and it amazes me that he Makes a Living (or does he) by living on a False Past. He is a Bad Joke… I know and so does he….

  3. As Al Davis would say about Lombardi ” he’s been fired from every job he’s ever had” nuff said

  4. Mike Lombardi has made a nice business for himself going from an obscure role in Bill Billichick’s front office into qualifying him as some sort of management guru. As a general rule, I don’t believe in making assumptions or critiquing the way players handle injuries…. I especially don’t believe in doing it to MAXX CROSBY, who has spent his entire career doing everything he can to help his team. Like, this team is easy to rip, why would you choose him?

  5. 50 years, 50 years I’ve been a RAIDERS FAN 4 LIFE, and with all of these tweets and shyt going on, the best way to destroy anything is from the inside, it’s like cancer, didn’t we go through this at the beginning of last year? The only difference is this cancer is malignant, Al Davis and all of the other RAIDERS who played for the team and city and not for themselves are probably turning over in their graves.

I do think we’ve found a quarterback in O’Connell and I can almost guarantee that this bullshyt would’ve gone in a completely different way, can you say Jim Plunkett ?
