Could Davante Adams be traded to the Kansas City Chiefs?
Conventional wisdom says the Raiders would never send Adams to the division rival that won the last two Super Bowls…right?
“Guess what? That is not true,” The Athletic’s Dianna Russini said this week on the Scoop City podcast, responding to rumors the Raiders wouldn’t be willing to trade Adams to a division rival.
“Does it happen a lot? No,” Russini continued. “But if you are able to give a team the best offer, it can happen, and this is one of those conversations that you have in football where it’s such a different type of narrative in the league than it is outside, or at least by the fans. So I’m always, because I like to ask that question too, and I did… I asked both sides.”
One person that’s technically “in the league” is radio host ‘JT the Brick’, and he isn’t buying any reports that Adams could end up in Kansas City.
He wasn’t responding directly to Russini, but this was JT’s response to anyone suggesting the Raiders would send Adams to the Chiefs.
“There are people so bleeping stupid that they think Tom Telesco would trade him to Kansas City. How dumb do you have to be?” JT said on his Raider Nation Radio show on Thursday. “Now, some people like to correct me. If they want to give up two first-round picks for Devante, I think we could all be, okay, go to Kansas City [but] that’s not going to happen.”
As some have pointed out in recent days, the Raiders need as many teams interested in Adams as possible, so there’s no reason to publicly squash the Chiefs as a trade option.
But surely the Chiefs would have to blow away every other offer to get Adams.
Unless something changes, it seems like the New York Jets are the most likely destination for Adams, and that seems to be the team everyone is focused on right now. The Jets are in London this weekend and the expectation is that trade discussions will pick up after the weekend.

In order for a trade to happen between the Chiefs and Raiders. The Chiefs would have to blow it completely out of the water. To the point of Absurdity. Realistically it won’t happen.
Such BS. I could care less if Adams is traded, because I don’t think Adams is worth his salary. But that being said, THIS IS ALL CLICKBAIT!!!!
