Things are going in a bad direction for the Raiders right now, and according to NFL insider Tony Pauline, there are assistant coaches already waving the white flag.
Pauline mentioned offensive coordinator Luke Getsy as being largely “responsible” for the team’s poor start on offense, but that isn’t breaking news to anyone that has been following the team closely.
What was a little surprising, though, were the assistant coaches Pauline mentioned along with Getsy.
“The criticism of assistant coaches is not just directed at [Luke] Getsy but also extends to Marvin Lewis and Rob Ryan,” Pauline reported on Saturday.
“Ryan, a once-celebrated defensive coordinator, is listed as the teams ‘Senior Defensive Assistant.’ Lewis, formerly the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals from 2003 to 2015 who also coached with Pierce at Arizona State, is listed as Assistant Head Coach. Detractors close to the situation tell me both Ryan and Lewis have checked out and are basically just in Las Vegas to collect checks.”
Pauline isn’t one of the NFL’s mainstream insiders, but he has always been connected within the league and the Raiders’ flagship radio station respects him enough to welcome him as a guest.
If assistant coaches are “checking out” in Las Vegas, it wouldn’t be huge surprise because it’s starting to feel like an overhaul could be coming to the Raiders within the next few months.
With Tom Brady now part of the team’s ownership group, the coaching staff can’t feel quite as confident in their job security.
Pauline said the players are still behind head coach Antonio Pierce and that probably won’t change regardless of how the season plays out.
The big question going forward, though, is whether or not Brady will feel good about Pierce and the coaching staff he has in place.

Tom Brady is a minority owner he has 10% ownership, I hope he doesn’t have a ton of input, because we saw the last time somebody tried to do it the “PatriotsWay”. That didn’t go well. Brady is also a minority owner is Davis group for the Las Vegas Aces. Sounds more like he is in it for the money investment.

Why would you give up on Devante Adams for a 3rd rd pick when you need a quarterback bad ,you should have kept Devante and tried to get Aron Rodgers from the Jets because they are having problems down there, the Raiders have been making a lot of dumb questionable moves over the last 15 years , hiring that OC from NE and letting him get rid of the best Quarterback that the Raiders have had in the last 10 years, it all comes down to Ownership , period point blank
They say it takes a village. Well this is the village of the Damned. I blame all of this on our beloved leader Mark Davis. From the players that he drafts, to the coaches that he hires, to the offensive coordinators, to the general managers. He just does not have a very good feel for hiring the right people. I’ve been a member of the nation since it’s inception in 1960 when I was 2 years old. Let’s stop talking about the Glory Days or the good old days those are long gone. We just want to get to a point where we are competitive and can be mentioned like an ordinary playoff team. To try to be like the old school silver and black it’s just a bar that has been set way too high. I respect Mark Davis and I know he loves this team it’s a part of him and always will be. But it all starts at the top, I pray he can figure this out. Raider Nation por vida.

Telesco was a bad hire. Getsy was a bad hire. Graham cannot or will not put in players that should be in the field. Webb,Burney and Gainer. Nor can he make in game adjustments to counter OC’s adjustments. AP is the one last season that improved or D by making him blitz more. Before that last season we were giving up over 30 a game.
I hope Tom Brandy will have executive decisions over all Raider staff, including Mark Davis.
It’s apparent with last 10 years of final decision making has left us at present State.
Should of hired harbough for coach. I knew things wouldn’t go right with pierce at the helm. Not enough coaching experience. Mr. Davis, it’s your team NOT the players.

Brady is only five percent owner along with a group of investors. He doesn’t have any say in hiring or firing. That belongs to Tom Telesco and Mark Davis. Getsy may be let go but it won’t be because of Tom Brady

For the past 20 years my favorite team has been going right down the toilet I have been a fan for 40 years you can’t become a competitive team if you change coaches and staff every 2 or so years hopefully things will change from a highly disappointed real close to a use to be fan 👎😥.

It’s respectfully not the coach or coaches it Gardner Minchew take your chance with Ridder win or lose. Go after that Nan from Miami and go on and win championships playoffs and Super bowls. Then when you get the Quarterback put a Vetren line for that man.
Stop pretending like Brady is somehow appointed as head of football operations. He’s a minority owner and silent partner. He has zero knowledge or experience about operating a football team. He’s in this because investing in a pro football team with a rapidly growing valuation is good business and because Mark was dumb enough to chase his name at the expense of a ridiculous discount on his shares.

Luke Getsy is absolutely ruining the offense and my big fear is that after drafting a rookie QB next season, Getsy ruins him like he almost did to Justin Fields.

Right now to me it doesn’t matter who you have coaching on offense or defense. If they are part of Raider yesteryear then they shouldn’t be around after the season. First of all ( and I know Mike Mayock isn’t there anymore) but when that fool said he and Gruden had Nick Bosa and Clelin Ferrell rated neck and neck I knew we were in a heap of trouble!! That told me right then that these guys can’t even draft beer!! They have no 👁️ eye for talent whatsoever!!; And the trend has carried on to this very day. Everybody is blaming Getsey and maybe rightfully so but what about Patrick Graham!! That defense is terrible!! Also it’s the raiders fault we have a terrible offensive coordinator because they tried to under pay the guy from USC and he said C- ya. Now he is over with the Washington Commanders doing great things Jayden Daniels. No eye for talent with Players or Coaches!! Pitiful!!

We have injuries Getsey blocking Scheme is poor. Fields doing way better at Steelers. So like McDummy 2 places you fail. OC is our first priority. O’CONNELL is leading QB. Unless we can trade for Hendon Hooker of Detriot. Or bring Carr back. Accuracy and deep passes opens up the run game. Blcking up front is our key. Top OC search.

Brady is not the owner! I doubt that he’ll have final say on what coaches are retained. I’m sure that his advise will be taken into account by the majority owner, but he won’t be running the team. Pure media speculation.

The Raiders stink, starting with the worst owner, the head coach, the offensive coach who is offensive, the worst general manager who did nothing with the Chargers and then was hired by the dumbest owner. The Raiders have a totally unimmagivative offense by an offensive coach who was let go by Chicago because he stunk. if you notice during the last period when you let the guarterback pass he moved the team right down the field for a score. Also probably the worst offensive line in the game who has almost gotten Menshew killed with their unusable blocking schemes allowing the quarterback rarely more than 2 seconds the complete a play. Menshew should flat quit. Trade Crosby foe 2 picks to help the team…..
Maybe their last checks are coming sooner than 3 months. Like tomorrow would be fine as Tom and Luke could use trick or treating buddies.🎃👻💀
